簡単な自己紹介と、DRepになろうと思ったきっかけを教えてください。
20年以上システムエンジニアをしています。精神障害2級を持ち現在は自宅にて自営業を営んでいます。 2021年に独学でSPOになりましたが1度挫折を経験、その後職業SPOとなりました。SPOの経験を生かしてSPOのためのツールをいくつか開発してリリースしています。 DRepになろうと思ったのは初めは好奇心からでした、しかし自分の意見が直接Yes・Noという形で表明出来るガバナンスへ参加することで、Cardanoのエコシステムを健全で持続可能なシステムに出来ると思いDRepになることを決意しました。
DRepとしての意思決定において、どんな価値観・原則を大事にしていますか？
そのプロジェクトや決定がCardano全体にとって有益であるかどうかです。
自身の立場や経歴などを含め、投票する際に最も重視していることは何ですか？
特に開発系の提案ではそれが本当に必要なものであるかどうか、そして何より妥当な予算要求なのかですね。
カルダノのガバナンスやエコシステムについて、これまで感じた大きな課題は何ですか？
一部のDRepに委任が集中している事でしょうか。私の委任量と現時点（2025年8月29日現在）での最大委任量の差は20,000倍の差があります。 もちろん周知活動や貢献度の差は明らかなのですが、それにしても同じDRepとして投票する意義が分からなくなってしまう事があります。
判断が特に難しかった提案について、その理由とどのように決断したかを教えてください。
どの提案も正直難しいです。それぞれの提案の背景や具体性まで完全に把握することは非常に難しいと思っています。 色々な方のお話をお聞きしたり、実際の投票理由を参考にしようと努力していますが、全ての提案にそれが出来るほどのリソースが割けないのも事実です。
バジェット提案については、どのような基準で評価し、どのような点に注意を払っていますか？て、その理由とどのように決断したかを教えてください。
先日のバジェット提案（2025年7月〜8月）については、数が多すぎて正直なところ私の時間的リソース不足を痛感しました。 お恥ずかしながら棄権するしかありませんでした。申し訳ありません。
ガバナンスを通じて、カルダノにどのように貢献していきたいと考えていますか？
不正や利益相反などが無いようにしっかりチェックをしていかなければいけないと思います。 委任量が多いDRepの方にはDMで媚びを売るような動きがあると聞いていますが、おかしいところにはハッキリとNoを言えるDrepでありたいと思います。
これからカルダノのガバナンスに参加しようとしているADAホルダーに向けて、メッセージをお願いします。
私はほとんどADAを保有していませんがDRepになりました。ただの職業SPOやツール開発者のままではこのエコシステムで意見が言えないと思ったからです。 皆さんもしっかりこのエコシステムの運営に対して意見があると思います。そういう時はDRep委任などをしっかり考えていくとCardanoに対する考え方も見え方も少し変わってくるのではないでしょうか？

Interview DRep “Daisuke“
Can you briefly introduce yourself and what motivated you to become a DRep?
I’ve been working as a system engineer for over 20 years. I live with a mental disability (grade 2) and currently run my own business from home. I became an SPO through self-study in 2021, though I experienced a setback once before eventually continuing as a professional SPO. Leveraging my experience, I’ve developed and released several tools to support other SPOs.
At first, I became interested in becoming a DRep out of curiosity. But the more I learned, the more I believed that by participating in governance—where I could express my opinions directly through Yes/No votes—I could help shape Cardano into a healthy and sustainable system. That conviction led me to officially become a DRep.
What values or principles guide your decision-making as a DRep?
Whether the project or decision benefits the overall Cardano ecosystem.
What do you value most when voting, considering your background and perspective?
Especially for development-related proposals, I carefully consider whether the project is truly necessary—and above all, whether the requested budget is reasonable.
What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced in Cardano governance or the ecosystem so far?
I would say the concentration of delegations to a small number of DReps. The difference between the delegation amount I receive and that of the top DRep is a factor of 20,000.
Of course, differences in outreach and contributions play a part, but sometimes it’s hard to see the point in voting when the imbalance is so large—even among DReps.
Could you share a proposal that was particularly difficult to decide on, and how you reached your conclusion?
To be honest, every proposal is difficult. It’s extremely hard to fully understand the background and specifics of each one.
I try to talk to different people and review voting rationales to inform my own decisions—but the reality is I don’t have the resources to do this for every single proposal.
How do you evaluate budget proposals? What criteria or red flags do you consider?
There are simply too many budget proposals, and I keenly felt the limits of my time and capacity.
To be frank, I had no choice but to abstain from voting on many of them. I sincerely apologize for that.
How would you like to contribute to Cardano through your governance activities?
I believe it’s essential to keep an eye out for conflicts of interest or misconduct.
I’ve heard that some people try to curry favor with DReps who have large delegations via private messages.
I want to be the kind of DRep who can clearly say “No” when something seems wrong.
Do you have any message for ADA holders who are starting to participate in Cardano’s governance?
I actually don’t hold much ADA myself, yet I became a DRep.
I didn’t want to stay just a professional SPO or tool developer without a voice in this ecosystem.
I believe many of you also have opinions about how Cardano should be run.
Thinking seriously about DRep delegation may change how you see Cardano—and how you engage with it.
